United Arts of Central Florida is currently seeking to engage street musicians and performance artists interested in activating community spaces in the heart of Downtown Orlando. As part of a broader partnership between the Downtown Development Board and The City of Orlando, United Arts is leveraging resources and relationships to increase access to the arts for all residents, employees, and tourists.

Artists are compensated a minimum of $250 for the two hours based on experience, time and performance. The performance must fill the 2-hour block. (All events are to be rated PG-13 or under unless otherwise noted below) Interested performing artists must complete the application to be considered for placement within this program. All activation sites will have canopies and/or tree shade.

Grants $1000

The Awesome Foundation is an ever-growing worldwide community devoted to forwarding the interest of awesome in the universe. Created in the long hot summer days of 2009 in Boston, the Foundation distributes $1,000 grants, no strings attached, to projects and their creators. At each fully autonomous chapter, the money is pooled together from the coffers of ten or so self-organizing "micro-trustees" and given up front in cash, check, or gold doubloons. We award $1,000 grants every month. It couldn't be simpler! Your idea is yours alone.

Grant 500 $ - 3000 $

Created in 1993 to further FCA's mission to encourage, sponsor, and promote work of a contemporary, experimental nature, Emergency Grants provide urgent funding for visual and performing artists who:

  • Have sudden, unanticipated opportunities to present their work to the public when there is insufficient time to seek other sources of funding

  • Incur unexpected or unbudgeted expenses for projects close to completion with committed exhibition or performance dates Emergency Grants is the only active, multi-disciplinary program that offers immediate assistance of this kind to artists living and working anywhere in the United States, for projects occurring in the U.S. and abroad.
